One day John turned up at our house. We invited him in and all sat around chatting and laughing and telling stories. We were all just catching up on what was going on in each other's lives. There was a bulb if garlic sitting on the table and John said, "I've never tried eating raw garlic before". I warned him, it would be hot, but before we knew it, he had a pulled off a clove and started chewing it. His face turned bright red and he immediately went to the fridge to find something to drink. I told him milk might neutralize it. So he drank a big glass of milk. He said, "Well, I don't think I'll ever try that again". And we all had a big laugh. That was John, willing try something different. We miss him and his great sense of humor.
